Start to Write 1 page a day
Writing at least a page a day is the most important habit to overcome writer’s block.
Write on any topic of your choice, what matters the most is to write a page.
If choosing a topic blocks you, you have 3 main options:
- Use a list of topic you have pre-written.
- Use a Template
- Rewrite a short story, a poem, an article, a post, a slogan/headline

- Find a Template. You can use one of ours.
- Fill the template with your themes, topics, characters, environments.
- lf you’re satisfied, present the page to a friend.
- lf you’re confident enough, publish it on a group.
How much do you want to write?
Writing 1-3 pages a day in 30-60′ is the fundamental habit to overcome Writer’s Block.
If you feel particularly uncomfortable, try to write this page in 20 minutes.
You only need to write 1 page, but it may still feel painful.
Therefore, write it as fast as possible.
It serves 2 purposes : reduce the discomfort & increase your ability to improvise.
If writing is your main Occupation
Find a Secondary project.
A Secondary project will allow you to write more freely.
You need to feel free to write a story you enjoy.
As aformentioned, write fast.
But this time, write fast to enjoy the flow of the story you’re improvising.
Follow these 3 steps to maintain cohesion while improvising:
- Write the Ending.
- Then Plan the rest of the Book.
- Try to write 2 pages a day 60′.
Your goal is to develop your Improvisation skills.
Then publish them on your website.
You can publish extracts through the week on LinkedIn & Facebook, or in the form of Instagram Pics.
Consider posting extracts of your books in Shorts or Podcast format.
If writing is not your main Occupation
Write a 1 page a day in the form of a poem or short story.
How much time to you have?
If you have only 20 minutes, write 1 page.
If you have only 60 minutes, try to write 3 pages.
Before you start, make a map of 12 Fundamental Topics/Themes.
Look for synergies & Paradoxes between them.
Then, using these 12 Themes, write:
- 3 Introductions
- 3 Endings
- 4 Characters
- 3 Scenes of Crisis (fight, competition, investigation, chase)
